Aiming to bridge the gaps between the architecture schools in Romania and its neighboring countries, FAST will invite for each of its editions an architecture school form a relevant Euroregion bordering our country. For this first edition, FUAT, the host school, has invited the Debrecen (HU) department of Architecture, thus reinforcing the strong bonds between the two schools, established during the Triplex Confinium Erasmus Strategic Partnership.
NEXT STEP In the Department of Architecture in Debrecen, we consider it important to experience reality in as many ways as possible as a method of learning. This includes motivating students to learn about their environment in detail – student photos1, including in site interventions into the training to help them learn – triplex workshops – student tasks on different scales from design to implementation – concrete courses, faculty transcriptions, Baksa, Drying workshop. In addition to the departmental initiatives, a student workshop group has been set up and they are now involved in projects independently of us but along the same lines – student workshop. The exhibition presents a selection of these methods.
The exhibition curated by the Debrecen team of tutors led by professor Tamás Szentirmai was hosted in the Nursery temporary installation, designed by MAIO for OAR Timiș as part of the TM2023 ECoC program.
