R: Dan Perjovschi deschide spațiul Archa, în prima zi de FAST, prin conferința de autor, ce contextualizează mesajele celor două mari frize dedicate temei centrale a festivalului: Sustainable Futures, Leave no one Behind. Intervenția marchează, în același timp, și o premieră, Dan desenând pentru prima oară pe pereții unei școli de arhitectură din România. “Spre deosebire de noi artiștii, voi arhitecții aveți putere” ne spunea Dan, cu două zile înainte, cocoțat pe scara de pe care desena cu cretă, ca un veritabil profesor, lateralele negre ale cursivelor spațiului ARChA. Lecția predată de Dan, participanților FAST, este despre arhitecți și arhitectură, despre rolul și responsabilitatea lor față de oraș și societate, dar mai ales despre acele buzzwords sau cuvinte cheie golite de sens ce “colorează” discursurile/ alibi ale arhitecturii prezentului. Lucrările lui Dan, ca și conferința, susțină în fața unui public ce a umplut sala de seminar a ARChA până la refuz, au deschis larg ușile dezbaterii critice pe care FAST a inițiat-o prin tema generală a festivalului. Mulțumim Dan Perjovschi pentru această contribuție la spațiul expoziției principale. Prin prezența ei pe termen lung, nouă friză anti monumentală a spațiului ARChA, obligă viitoarele generații de studenți și profesori la o foarte importantă auto reflecție. “Ce ne facem? Ce facem? EN: Dan Perjovschi opens the Archa space, on the first day of FAST, with the author’s conference, which contextualizes the messages of the two large friezes dedicated to the central theme of the festival: Sustainable Futures, Leave no one behind. The intervention marks, at the same time, a premiere, Dan drawing for the first time on the walls of an architecture school in Romania. “Unlike us artists, you architects have power,” Dan told us, two days before, perched on the stairs from which he drew with chalk, like a real teacher, the black sides of the ARChA balconies. The lessons prepared by Dan for our FAST participants are about architects and architecture, about their role and responsibility towards the city and society, but especially about those buzzwords that color the discourses/alibis of today’s architecture. Dan’s drawings, as well as the conference, held in front of an audience that overflowed ARChA seminar room, opened wide the doors for the critical debate that FAST initiated through the overall theme of the festival. Thank you Dan Perjovschi for this contribution to our main exhibition space. Through its long-term presence, the new anti-monumental frieze of the ARChA space, obliges future generations of students and teachers to practice a most important self-reflection exercise. “What are we going to do? What are we doing? Who do we do it to? Why do we?”
