RO: Vila Kimmel a fost construită între anii 1911-1914 (arh. Josef Kremmer senior și arh. Josef Kremmer junior), în limbajul estetic specific anilor 1900, cu elemente din arhitectură clasicistă franceză de secol XVIII. Reședința, comandată de industriașul Ignác Sándor Kimmel, cunoscut în Imperiul austro-ungar pentru coniacul produs în fabrica sa era inițial înconjurată de un parc care ajungea până la râul Bega. Acesta a suferit modificări după cel de-al doilea Război Mondial când aici au fost construite noi imobile. În perioada 1969-1977, Vila Kimmel a găzduit secția de artă a Muzeului Banatului, în noiembrie 1977 imobilul devenind casă de oaspeți pentru familia Ceaușescu. Din anul 1992, vila Kimmel este sediul Institutului Cultural Francez.
Între 1 si 5 noiembrie, Villa Kimmel va găzdui expoziții și dezbateri asociate festivalului FAST.
EN: The Kimmel Villa was built between 1911-1914 (architect Josef Kremmer senior and architect Josef Kremmer junior), in the aesthetic language of the 1900s, with elements of 18th century French classicist architecture. The residence, commissioned by Ignác Sándor Kimmel, known in the Austro-Hungarian Empire for the cognac produced in his factory, was originally surrounded by a park that reached down to the Bega River. The park was altered after the Second World War to make room for new buildings. Between 1969 and 1977, Villa Kimmel housed the art section of the Banat Museum, and in November 1977 the building became a guest house for the Ceaușescu family. Since 1992, Villa Kimmel has been the headquarters of the French Cultural Institute in Timișoara.
