Cinema Steaua Roșie [The Red Star Cinema], also known by history afficionados as The Capitol or Edison Cinema, represents the subject of an on-going re-use process. The creators of the Jazz in the Park Festival are on an ongoing adventure that will see them develop Cluj-Napoca’s first jazz club, which will be given the name Edison, unde the roof of the city’s hidden cultural gems.

Festival Venue: Observatorului Campus
Housing a large part of the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca’s students, the TUCN Observatorului Campus represents a social and educational landmark within itself, a safe space for students and teachers alike.
Festival Venue: The National Opera
Hosting both the National Opera and the National Theatre the neobaroque cultural edifice was inaugurated in 1906, being designed by the famous duo Helmer and Fellner, remaining one of the city’s most important cultural venues ever since.
Festival Venue: Cinema ARTA
Inaugurated in 1913, the Arta Cinema represents one of the oldest cultural landmarks of Cluj and its surroundings. After an extended refurbishment process started in 2012, the cinema (re)became a home for the creative arts and the independent cultural sector, encouraging communication, understanding and tolerance within the local community.
Festival Venue: Centrala FAU
Centrala FAU is one of the creative spaces designed for the students of the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning from Cluj Napoca. Taking its name from the original function of the building, as it was first designed as a heating plant for the TUCN Observatorului Campus, the nowadays 4th, 5th and 6th year architecture students’ workshops represent a positive example of re-use.

Located within the center of Cluj, the TUCN HUB – which first used to be the city’s Fashion House represents the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca’s dedicated conference space, equally suited for workshops, happenings and smaller meetings, while also being equipped with high-end laboratories.
