Andreea Robu-Movilă

RO: Andreea Robu-Movilă este un arhitect pasionat care crede în valoarea cercetării aplicate in arhitectură (Applied R&I), susținând abordarea temelor de proiectare în biroul de arhitectură printr-o perspectivă de cercetare. În acest sens a co-fondat laboratorul de cercetare NeuroArhiLab în cadrul Universității de Arhitectură și Urbanism “Ion Mincu” din București unde este cercetător titular, pentru a facilita studiul în domeniul NeuroArhitecturii, un domeniu emergent și fascinant ce îmbină Științele Cognitive / Neuroștiințele, Științele Computaționale și Arhitectura. Astăzi când noile tehnologiile din sfera computării afective oferă numeroase instrumente de înțelegere a creierului uman, domeniul neuroarhitecturii facilitează înțelegerea impactului pe care arhitectura îl are asupra creierului uman, oferind instrumente noi de analiză și proiectare. Ca parte a demersului de înțelegere a viitoarelor provocări tehnologice din industria AEC, Andreea a co-editat proiectul editorial SHARE Architects „Designing the Profile of the Future Architects”, un volum de 100 de interviuri cu arhitecți de renume internațional din 27 de țări.

Dincolo de această dimensiune, Andreea este a fost din totdeauna preocupată și de impactul social al arhitecturii, fondând Asociația ,,Arhitectura Celuilalt” prin care timp de 5 ediții (2020-2025) a fost organizat un concurs de texte și discursuri critice care au mobilizat o comunitate de aprox. 300 de tineri arhitecți, rezultatul acestui demers reflectându-se în volumul ,,Arhitectura Celuilalt. Tineri cu gânduri către lume”, publicat la ed. Arhitext.
Pe linia preocupărilor teoretice, sociale și de cercetare, biroului de arhitectură A.ttune Archilab, pe care îl coordonează în prezent reflectă în fiecare dintre proiectele sale această filozofie de abordare holistică a arhitecturii.

EN: Andreea Robu-Movilă is a passionate architect who believes in the value of applied research and innovation (Applied R&I) in architecture, advocating for addressing design challenges in her architectural practice from a research perspective. To this end, she co-founded the NeuroArhiLab research laboratory at the “Ion Mincu” University of Architecture and Urbanism in Bucharest, where she is a full-time researcher. The lab facilitates studies in the field of NeuroArchitecture—an emerging and fascinating domain that combines Cognitive Sciences/Neurosciences, Computational Sciences, and Architecture. Today, as new technologies in affective computing offer numerous tools for understanding the human brain, neuroarchitecture aids in comprehending the impact architecture has on the human mind, providing new tools for analysis and design. As part of her efforts to understand future technological challenges in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry, Andreea co-edited the SHARE Architects editorial project “Designing the Profile of the Future Architects,” a volume featuring 100 interviews with internationally renowned architects from 27 countries.

Beyond this, Andreea has always been concerned with the social impact of architecture. She founded the Association “Architecture of the Other,” through which, over five editions (2020–2025), a competition of texts and critical discourses was organized, mobilizing a community of approximately 300 young architects. The outcome of this initiative is reflected in the volume “Architecture of the Other: Young Minds Reflecting on the World,” published by Arhitext Publishing House.
Aligned with her theoretical, social, and research interests, the architecture office A.ttune Archilab, which she currently leads, embodies in each of its projects this philosophy of a holistic approach to architecture.
