Acesta a suferit modific\u0103ri dup\u0103 cel de-al doilea R\u0103zboi Mondial c\u00e2nd aici au fost construite noi imobile. \u00cen perioada 1969-1977, Vila Kimmel a g\u0103zduit sec\u021bia de art\u0103 a Muzeului Banatului, \u00een noiembrie 1977 imobilul devenind cas\u0103 de oaspe\u021bi pentru familia Ceau\u0219escu. The residence, commissioned by Ign\u00e1c S\u00e1ndor Kimmel, known in the Austro-Hungarian Empire for the cognac produced in his factory, was originally surrounded by a park that reached down to the Bega River. The park was altered after the Second World War to make room for new buildings. Between 1969 and 1977, Villa Kimmel housed the art section of the Banat Museum, and in November 1977 the building became a guest house for the Ceau\u0219escu family.
